Responsibilities
- Own every aspect of the SDLC for assigned deliverables, from requirements and analysis through testing and deployment.
- Develop hands-on software in Java and Scala.
- Work with the securities lending trading desk to gather requirements, innovate, and architect solutions.
- Design solutions for on-premises and public cloud environments.
- Interact extensively with trading-business stakeholders.
- Guide junior staff and initiatives and manage multiple functions as needed.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Java and Scala with a strong background in algorithms and data structures.
- Direct experience working with a front office trading function.
- Relational database design and SQL experience.
- Ability to manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
- Advanced understanding of the relevant business line and discipline, with some knowledge of the competitive environment and other disciplines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-interaction skills.
