Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for EIP platform microservices.
- Create automated test suites for RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and microservices integration.
- Design and execute performance and load testing strategies and analyze system behavior.
- Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines and enforce quality gates.
- Collaborate with development teams on test strategies, test plans, and comprehensive coverage.
- Analyze logs, metrics, and traces to identify root causes of test failures and production issues.
- Document test cases, results, and quality metrics and report status to stakeholders.
- Advocate for testability, quality best practices, and a quality-first culture.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of software quality engineering experience with a strong focus on test automation.
- Hands-on experience with JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured, Playwright, and Selenium.
- Programming proficiency in Java or Python; Kotlin experience is a plus.
- Deep expertise in RESTful API testing, including authentication, authorization, and data validation.
- Strong SQL skills for database validation and query testing with PostgreSQL and Redshift.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or K6.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI.
- Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for testing containerized applications.
- Proficiency with Linux commands and Bash scripting.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience includes testing AWS services, Kotlin test development, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, Kafka or SNS/SQS messaging, data lakes, data warehousing, Terraform or CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, IAM policies, secrets management, chaos engineering, and financial markets.
