Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable, high-quality production software.
- Build full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend architecture.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation satisfies design constraints.
- Develop automated tests and apply quality engineering practices using appropriate testing tools and frameworks.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets, create visualizations and reports, and use insights to improve code quality and system architecture.
- Apply cloud-native design patterns and support operational stability, resiliency, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Guide peers on responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs and outputs.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-querying languages.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, GraphQL, and frontend engineering with React.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frontend build tools such as Vite or Webpack.
- Experience with micro frontend architecture, modular frontend design, shared components, and frontend integration patterns.
- Experience with automated testing and quality engineering practices using tools such as JUnit, Playwright, and React Testing Library.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms and cloud-native design patterns.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating and refining generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and ability to guide peers on safe usage.
- Preferred: experience with payments, financial services, high-volume transaction platforms, or modern frontend and cloud technologies.
