Base Salary
$205k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and scale real-time threat intelligence systems that ingest, process, classify, and enrich signals from numerous sources.
- Design distributed systems for high-throughput event processing, data deduplication, and reliable asynchronous workflows.
- Apply AI to identify relevant threats, reduce noise, and deliver actionable insights.
- Build and operate emergency notification systems delivering communications through SMS, email, mobile push, and Slack.
- Design scalable backend services, APIs, and data models using Kotlin, Kafka, Postgres, AWS, and OpenSearch.
- Build performant customer-facing experiences with React and TypeScript across the full stack.
- Drive technical architecture decisions and own systems from design and implementation through production operations and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering while mentoring peers, conducting code reviews, and improving engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience building and operating production software, with strong backend expertise and fullstack experience.
- Strong programming fundamentals and backend development experience with Kotlin or Java.
- Experience designing scalable distributed systems, microservices, APIs, relational database models, asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, or messaging systems.
- Working proficiency with React, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, including independently shipping frontend features.
- Ability to drive technical projects independently, navigate ambiguity, collaborate cross-functionally, and balance technical quality with customer value.
- Preferred experience building AI-powered applications or integrating LLMs into production systems.
- Preferred experience with high-throughput data pipelines, stream processing, OpenSearch, geospatial data, real-time alerting, or mission-critical communication systems.
