Responsibilities
- Build and ship secure, reliable, production-ready systems and services for customer needs.
- Translate business requirements into problem statements, success metrics, and architectural solutions.
- Own end-to-end architecture for cloud and AI workloads while balancing reliability, performance, cost, and maintainability.
- Use automated testing, observability, progressive delivery, and other modern engineering practices to deliver quickly and safely.
- Work directly with customer engineering teams to drive delivery, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
- Create reusable solution accelerators, reference architectures, and code for multiple customers and scenarios.
- Coordinate workstreams, manage dependencies, and improve reliability and operational excellence in production services.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship while collaborating with product, data, security, and domain teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Experience partnering directly with customers or internal stakeholders to deliver solutions end-to-end.
- Preferred: master's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience designing, deploying, and operating AI or LLM-based solutions, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented approaches, model tuning, evaluation, data quality, performance monitoring, and cloud AI platforms.
- Preferred: familiarity with operating AI systems in production and using platforms such as Azure ML or OpenAI.
- Comfort with travel up to 25%.
Benefits
- Base pay in the United Kingdom is £93,500.00–£161,800.00 per year.
- The role may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position uses a Forward Deployed Engineering model with direct customer engagement and travel up to 25%.
