Base Salary
$110k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop cloud-hosted services and features from product requirements into maintainable, extensible software.
- Design and implement REST APIs for mobile and web clients, payment devices, and third-party applications.
- Own merchant-facing services from initial development through deployment and production monitoring.
- Review peer code and designs and provide mentorship across the engineering team.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure to design data models for large-scale, highly available services.
- Partner with QA teams on comprehensive test plans and strategies.
- Participate in Agile development, planning sessions, sprint boards, and on-call rotations to resolve production issues.
Requirements
- 6+ years of Java development experience.
- 6+ years of experience with relational databases such as MySQL.
- 6+ years of API design experience.
- 2+ years of experience with analytical databases such as Snowflake.
- 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
- Preferred experience includes Spring Boot microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, Python, Snowflake data warehousing, and complex SQL queries using JDBC.
