Responsibilities
- Build, automate, and support Kubernetes platform capabilities across on-premises, edge, and cloud environments.
- Develop automation and platform services using Go, Python, Shell, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Support Kubernetes provisioning, configuration, upgrades, scaling, and lifecycle management.
- Troubleshoot production issues involving Kubernetes, Linux, containers, networking, storage, and related infrastructure.
- Contribute to virtualization, networking, storage, observability, security, and GitOps platform capabilities.
- Participate in technical design, production readiness, incident response, root-cause analysis, documentation, and reliability improvements.
- Reduce operational toil and improve the platform experience for application engineering teams.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering, platform engineering, SRE, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a related engineering discipline.
- Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and strong Linux, container, and Kubernetes fundamentals.
- Experience building automation with Go, Python, and/or Shell.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD or GitOps practices.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes networking, storage, and production troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement if applicable.
- At least 2 years of experience in software development or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing solutions through software development life cycles and iterative development.
- At least 2 years of experience with frontend technologies, middleware, database technologies, or DevOps.
- Preferred experience includes technical documentation, business systems, KubeVirt, VMware, Kubernetes-based virtualization, RKE2, Rancher, GKE, EKS, AKS, Argo CD, Helm, Istio, Vault, Kubernetes Operators, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure.
