Responsibilities
- Design and implement networking functions and online-service solutions for game projects.
- Maintain online game services and networking solutions supporting cross-platform play, multiple platforms, and high concurrency.
- Work with gameplay programmers to integrate network libraries into games.
- Debug network-library issues and identify network-performance problems.
- Collaborate with game designers to define network and server requirements.
- Own online requirements for production, including first-party and UOR requirements.
- Contribute to system design and technical documentation.
- Bridge production teams and Ubisoft’s online-services team by bringing new technologies and solutions into production.
Requirements
- Strong experience with C++ development and online-services development using C#, .NET Core, or other languages.
- Experience in game development.
- Knowledge of online-service APIs and communication protocols.
- Understanding of client-server and peer-to-peer game-networking architectures.
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Git-based workflow, GitLab CI/CD, or Docker experience is a plus.
- Linux experience is a plus.
- Console-development experience is a plus.
