Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations for payment systems and local acquiring platforms.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Java code collaboratively.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in operational work when needed.
- Use Spring and Hibernate to build and maintain systems.
- Contribute to performance improvements and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features and solutions.
- Perform code, design, and architecture reviews.
- Build knowledge of the payment industry and Wallee’s products.
- Use available AI tools to improve productivity.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of proven Java development experience.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of Java programming and object-oriented principles.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Good knowledge of Spring and JPA.
- Good understanding of REST APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Curiosity, willingness to grow, responsibility, autonomy, and collaborative working style.
- Bonus: knowledge of microservices architecture and DDD principles.
- Bonus: experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Docker, Kubernetes, or Playwright.
- Bonus: interest in secure coding practices and payment technologies.
