Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java backend services running on AWS.
- Build and optimize data processing and reporting pipelines for large datasets.
- Use AWS services including S3, Athena, Lambda, SQS, Redshift, and RDS to create scalable and cost-efficient solutions.
- Own production services through monitoring, alerting, performance tuning, and incident response.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver merchant-focused features.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering-practice improvements.
Requirements
- Solid professional experience in Java backend development using Spring, Quarkus, or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on experience building and running workloads on AWS.
- Good understanding of relational databases and SQL; PostgreSQL experience is a plus.
- Experience with distributed systems, message queues, or batch and stream data processing.
- A focus on maintainability, testing, and shipping working software.
- Fluent English-language skills.
- A university degree in Computer Science or a closely associated discipline.
