Responsibilities
- Build and evolve core banking services supporting ledger operations and transactions.
- Design scalable ledger and transaction-history systems for multiple global markets.
- Solve distributed-systems challenges and maintain resilient services under high transaction volumes.
- Modernize existing systems through observability improvements, test coverage, refactoring, and architectural enhancements.
- Own services from design through production, including deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with teams across Risk, Treasury, Finance, Infrastructure, and global regional offices.
Requirements
- Solid backend experience building reliable, high-volume services with strong system-design, API, data-modeling, and service-interaction skills.
- Proficiency in Golang and willingness to work with other languages such as Kotlin or Elixir.
- Ability to write maintainable, well-tested code and operate software from development through production.
- Experience building, deploying, and running services in cloud environments such as AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Willingness to learn about high-performance relational databases and data consistency.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across distributed, cross-regional teams.
- Interest in building reliable financial services and learning the banking domain.
- Knowledge of Elixir is a plus.
- Deeper PostgreSQL experience, including performance tuning, complex queries, or schema design, is a plus.
- Experience with event-streaming platforms, preferably Kafka, and observability tools such as Grafana or Honeycomb is a plus.
