Base Salary

$102k - $219k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build customer-facing web capabilities with TypeScript and React and supporting APIs and services with C# and .NET.
  • Design, develop, test, and ship high-quality software features.
  • Translate customer scenarios into intuitive, responsive, and accessible experiences.
  • Improve performance, scalability, resiliency, and reliability across web applications and online services.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across web applications and online services.
  • Use approved AI coding assistants and command-line agents for code exploration, implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, code review, documentation, and engineering automation.
  • Validate AI-generated coding output and follow security, privacy, licensing, and responsible-AI requirements.
  • Collaborate across product, design, and engineering while applying sound software engineering practices and delivering customer value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including JavaScript or TypeScript, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience building web applications with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as React is preferred.
  • Experience designing, developing, and shipping high-quality software is preferred.
  • Experience building responsive and accessible web applications using TypeScript, React, or similar technologies is preferred.
  • Experience developing object-oriented applications or services using C#, Java, C++, or a similar language is preferred.
  • Experience designing or integrating APIs and working with distributed cloud services is preferred.
  • Experience with public cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, code review, documentation, or developer-workflow automation is preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated output for correctness, maintainability, security, privacy, and licensing considerations is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, written and oral communication, and collaboration skills are preferred.
  • Ability to apply coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and releasing practices is preferred.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.

Benefits

  • The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $102,100–$202,200 per year; the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range is USD $133,800–$219,200 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The position will be open for at least five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
