Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain customizations and enhancements for PeopleSoft HCM modules.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications with functional HR and IT teams.
- Test, troubleshoot, debug, and optimize PeopleSoft applications for quality and performance.
- Apply PeopleSoft patches and updates and support the annual PUM upgrade implementation.
- Document system configurations, modifications, and processes.
- Provide user support and training for PeopleSoft functionality.
- Identify HCM process-improvement opportunities and advocate for PeopleSoft best practices.
- Participate in project planning and execution within scope and schedule.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional weekend work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience; additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
- Experience with PeopleSoft HCM modules such as Core HR, Payroll, and Benefits.
- Experience with PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Designer, and Component Interface.
- Experience with SQL, Application Engine, SQR, and Integration Broker.
- Basic database knowledge, preferably with Oracle, and SQL experience.
- Ability to create and manage PeopleSoft reports using Query and BI Publisher.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft security concepts, roles, and permission lists.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Preferred qualifications include public-sector, utility, or energy experience; PeopleSoft or related certifications; PeopleSoft upgrade experience; Linux and Windows experience; ServiceNow experience; agile and project management experience; and experience supporting large applications and end users.
