Responsibilities
- Coordinate coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of application solutions.
- Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts from complex requirements and user stories.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites and execute automated test cases.
- Document test results, raise and track defects, and participate in defect triage and Scrum meetings.
- Test new technologies and system functionality for business acceptance, user acceptance, and system integration.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain production-grade Python applications for batch processing, APIs, and web applications.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, business, analytics, stakeholders, and business partners.
- Support application reliability, performance, observability, security, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Knowledge of quality engineering processes, testing methodologies, testing life cycle, SDLC, and defect management for application testing, development, and support.
- Hands-on experience with qTest, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Experience with technical and automated testing across cloud, Unix/Linux, big data/Hadoop, and data warehouse environments.
- Hands-on coding experience in Python or Java.
- Strong SQL scripting and ETL testing experience.
- Understanding of CI/CD automation and Git-based workflows; GitHub Actions is preferred.
- Experience working on Agile projects.
- Strong problem-solving, design, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience with test automation tools or frameworks such as SoapUI/ReadyAPI, Postman, Selenium, or JMeter is preferred.
- QA-related certification such as ISTQB or Agile Testing certification is preferred.
- Experience with Copilot, machine learning projects, and deploying, monitoring, and debugging cloud applications is preferred.
