Base Salary
$110k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing for complex applications and backend workflows.
- Analyze requirements, identify test scenarios and coverage gaps, and highlight requirements or design issues early.
- Create and maintain test plans, scenarios, cases, traceability matrices, test evidence, execution reports, and release-quality summaries.
- Validate databases and backend processes using SQL, including data integrity, transformations, transactions, and downstream results.
- Validate APIs, service integrations, file-based workflows, scheduled jobs, batch processing, and inter-system data exchanges.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated UI, API, and backend tests to improve regression efficiency and coverage.
- Perform defect analysis and triage, collaborate on resolution, and conduct retesting.
- Estimate testing effort, plan execution, identify delivery risks, and communicate quality status and concerns.
- Mentor less experienced QA engineers and contribute to QA process improvements and reusable test assets.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software QA experience with strong hands-on functional/manual testing and meaningful test automation experience.
- Hands-on experience testing batch processing systems, scheduled jobs, batch files, job dependencies, restart/recovery scenarios, and batch reconciliation.
- Experience with event-driven and data-intensive systems, including Kafka message flows, topic and payload validation, ETL testing, data pipelines, source-to-target validation, transformation rules, and data reconciliation.
- Strong automation experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, Java, Python, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, and modern delivery environments, plus exposure to Azure, Kubernetes, cloud-native, or microservices architectures.
- Exposure to AI-assisted QA, GenAI testing tools, AI-based test design or automation, or practical use of AI to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Banking or financial-services experience and understanding of enterprise application quality requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Ability to independently own testing for complex releases or functional areas, identify risks and gaps, and ensure quality throughout delivery.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, prioritization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
