Responsibilities
- Document, maintain, and execute detailed test cases to validate system functionality.
- Create release test plans covering testing strategy, resources, scope, dependencies, and risks.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and test execution status.
- Deploy software release builds, maintain test environments, and troubleshoot software and hardware configuration issues.
- Coordinate test execution, train users, and provide user support.
- Review business and functional requirements to develop test strategies and test cases.
- Test multi-tiered Java and JavaScript systems supporting clearing, intraday risk management, delivery management, and settlement management.
- Write automation scripts and validate test results using database or other non-GUI methods when needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of enterprise application testing experience, including test case development and execution.
- Strong functional testing background with experience designing comprehensive test strategies and test cases.
- Experience with full-lifecycle development methodologies and quality concepts and processes.
- Extensive knowledge of testing processes, testing methodology analysis, and defect reporting tools.
- Experience with both white-box and black-box testing.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience writing and executing complex SQL queries.
- Preferred: at least 2 years of experience with commodity markets, financial trading, equity brokerage, or futures markets.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to complete assignments on time, work independently under pressure, set priorities, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
