Responsibilities
- Build and own end-to-end microservice features covering API design, asynchronous messaging, caching, and data management.
- Participate in and sometimes lead architecture and design discussions while implementing significant portions of features.
- Review code and API designs from peers and colleagues on other teams.
- Build and maintain LLM-powered agents that generate shared SDKs, services, UI components, and application logic.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX specialists, agile teammates, and cross-team technical working groups.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, observability, and production incident response, including root-cause analysis, rollbacks, hotfixes, and deployments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with microservice architecture and ReST API design, including versioning, contracts, error handling, and consumer-driven design.
- Experience with asynchronous messaging such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS, caching strategies, and relational or NoSQL database management.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and distributed-systems concepts.
- Hands-on agentic coding experience, including deciding when to use AI agents and refining generated output into production-quality code.
- Conceptual frontend engineering knowledge with basics in TypeScript, SPAs, HTML, CSS, and asynchronous JavaScript.
- Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD processes.
- Preferred experience includes Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, developer tooling or internal SDKs, accessibility standards and compliance, Sass, and WebComponents.
- French is required for permanent positions in Quebec, and English is required for communication with primarily non-Quebec colleagues, customers, partners, or suppliers and for technical documentation.
