Responsibilities
- Analyze system and coding needs, identify problems, and propose program specifications and solutions.
- Develop, modify, test, and debug computer programs under general supervision.
- Translate requirements into technical specifications and software components.
- Design and model programmatic solutions for complex functional and non-functional requirements.
- Review code and design quality as part of project deliverables.
- Develop and support complex application components.
- Guide project-team development activities to ensure code quality and project deadlines are met.
- Write unit and integration tests for required development work.
- Participate in regression-testing strategies to improve application stability.
- Provide level-one application support and maintenance and resolve complex anomalies.
- Organize and manage production sessions.
- Explain technical and business system features to colleagues and interact effectively with users.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.
- Eight years of software development experience.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data.
- Initiative and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work in a team and strong attention to detail.
- Bilingualism is required for candidates in Quebec because of regular interaction with English-speaking colleagues across Canada.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout employment.
- No Canadian work experience is required.
