Base Salary
$140k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and scale core infrastructure services managing critical resources within Crusoe Cloud
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, durable, reliable, and easy-to-use platform services
- Lead cross-functional projects with engineering, cloud support, site reliability, and product teams
- Own the end-to-end development, maintenance, and refactoring of software modules and service components
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and integrated cloud solutions
- Design new functionality using simple, elegant architectures and advanced software design patterns
- Identify technical risks, automate manual processes, and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting for production services
- Diagnose complex software failures and performance bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and implement systemic fixes
- Mentor new teammates, provide technical training, and review code
- Analyze performance metrics and optimize data handling and algorithm logic for high availability
Requirements
- 3–5 years of software development experience
- Experience designing and scaling fault-tolerant distributed systems and managed cloud services
- Strong fundamentals in microservices and infrastructure technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD systems
- Experience with observability principles and technologies such as time-series databases, log aggregation, and distributed tracing
- Programming experience with modern compiled languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or C++
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex technical ideas in alignment with customer needs
- Ability to mentor engineers, improve hiring practices, and contribute to an inclusive engineering culture
