Base Salary

$307k - $427k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Establish the roadmap for workload-optimized GCE instances serving large-scale AI/ML clusters and mission-critical applications.
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of specialized GCE instances in collaboration with internal teams and hardware architects.
  • Define performance, reliability, resource, and cost-efficiency strategies for storage-, networking-, memory-, and HPC-optimized workloads.
  • Develop subject-matter expertise in enterprise and AI/ML segments and translate customer requirements into GCE instance capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technical leads responsible for the specialized GCE instance portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in software development, software design, data structures, algorithms, debugging, and analysis on customer-facing products.
  • 10 years of experience with private and public cloud design considerations involving operating systems, virtualization, multi-tenancy, fault isolation, large-scale distributed systems, networking, and security.
  • 10 years of experience in cloud compute infrastructure and storage or networking.
  • Technical paper publications and conference engagements.
  • Preferred experience building software and large-scale distributed systems.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, broker trade-offs with stakeholders, understand organizational needs, and drive consensus.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, written communication, verbal communication, narrative, and storytelling skills.
