Base Salary
$98k - $156k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build accessible, maintainable features in a React and TypeScript application and connect them to backend APIs.
- Design and implement Java services, REST endpoints, business rules, and data access code for rebate workflows.
- Work with SQL-backed and document data, including schema changes and migrations.
- Contribute to accrual processing and troubleshoot data correctness and performance issues in distributed jobs.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, review code, and investigate production issues.
- Partner with the team to improve build, deployment, and observability workflows.
- Own features end to end across frontend, backend, and data boundaries.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience across frontend and backend systems.
- Strong Java skills and hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of SQL, API design, and automated testing.
- Ability to deliver well-scoped work independently and collaborate across application, data, and deployment boundaries.
- Experience with AI-assisted development is strongly preferred, especially using GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar tools in a professional engineering workflow.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Dropwizard, JDBI, Liquibase, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or other Azure services is relevant to the role.
- Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, data-intensive financial calculations, Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or JUnit is relevant to the role.
