Responsibilities
- Analyze project goals and requirements to identify gaps, omissions, testing challenges, and impediments.
- Create test plans, test strategies, test cases, and defect reports.
- Perform manual, functional, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Develop and drive test automation initiatives using automation frameworks and tools.
- Track testing defects through resolution and report meaningful test results to management.
- Forecast software risk areas, anticipate issues, and drive resolution.
- Collaborate with development, business, and other teams to understand requirements and resolve quality issues.
- Establish collaborative relationships and support successful project test phases.
- Manage conflicts, increase productivity, and hire and develop talent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
- Strong QA background in manual and functional testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans and strategy documents, gathering requirements, and writing test cases.
- Experience with web services testing and formal software test design techniques.
- Experience with functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Experience developing and maintaining test cases and reporting test results.
- Experience creating and tracking testing defect reports in a defect management tool.
- Expertise in scripting languages and logical implementations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to comprehend project requirements, identify risks, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is preferred.
- Experience with automation, frameworks, and tools is preferred.
