Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate features and services within enterprise-scale infrastructure platforms from specification through production.
  • Write and review production code while accounting for reliability, performance, security, and cost.
  • Diagnose and resolve production problems, participate in an on-call rotation, and respond to incidents.
  • Use AI-assisted development, code review, test generation, and incident triage with appropriate validation.
  • Improve systems for quality, scalability, efficiency, and performance, and build operability and observability into delivered services.
  • Decompose scoped problems, define success criteria, measure impact, and integrate AI-agent results into production-ready systems.
  • Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders, contribute to technical decisions, and raise risks and questions.
  • Apply security and operational-risk judgment in engineering work.

Requirements

  • Applied experience producing production code in an industry-standard language such as Python, Go, Java, C++, or Rust.
  • Working knowledge of Linux or UNIX-like operating systems and networking fundamentals.
  • Hands-on exposure to an infrastructure domain such as cloud, networking, compute, storage, security, or data infrastructure, or a clear appetite to specialize.
  • Working experience with infrastructure-level systems and tooling, including Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and databases.
  • Developing systems thinking, including awareness of interfaces, contracts, and common failure modes.
  • Fluency with AI tools for engineering work and judgment about when AI is appropriate versus when deep human expertise is required.
  • Security-first mindset, clear communication, outcome orientation, and comfort working within defined scope in a greenfield environment.
  • Preferred qualifications include exposure to multiple infrastructure domains or programming languages, experience with services at scale and incident response, automation that reduces operational toil, context or prompt engineering, agent orchestration, regulated or large-scale enterprise environments, and independently solving well-scoped technical problems.

Benefits
