Base Salary
$140k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain training, validation, promotion, and batch-inference pipelines for production ML models.
- Write and extend Airflow DAGs for training, inference, and validation across staging, shadow, and production environments.
- Run model backtests, tune outputs against business targets, and support seasonal readiness reviews.
- Contribute to model migrations by configuring feature pipelines, postprocessors, model configurations, and inference runners.
- Triage production incidents affecting model-driven buyer and seller experiences and coordinate fixes with partner teams.
- Improve dashboards, retrain trending, data-quality tags, and alert hygiene for model observability.
- Write design documents, pull requests, and runbooks, and participate in the model-health and data-quality on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional experience building and shipping production ML systems; internships and shipped academic research projects may count.
- Strong Python skills and experience producing clear, testable, maintainable code.
- Exposure to batch data pipelines and ML orchestration tools such as Airflow, Kubeflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
- Comfort with SQL and at least one cloud data warehouse such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
- Understanding of training data, evaluation metrics, validation splits, model behavior, and production ML deployment.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills, with willingness to receive mentorship and grow within an established codebase.
- Preferred experience includes PyTorch or another deep learning framework, distributed computing with Spark, Ray, or Dask, and contributions to orchestration or feature pipelines.
- E-commerce, shipping, or logistics experience is a bonus.
