Base Salary

$141k - $212k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware and low-level system software for SoC, board, and system-level cloud and data-center platforms.
  • Support platform bring-up, board validation, system integration, and real-hardware debugging with hardware teams.
  • Design and develop target-side power management firmware using hardware and software components.
  • Drive collaboration across hardware, firmware, and platform software teams.
  • Influence architecture for power management, rack management, and observability capabilities.
  • Mentor engineers and establish technical best practices.
  • Support customer and production issues through field debugging and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in EE, CE, CS, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in embedded systems, firmware, or low-level system software.
  • Hands-on experience with SoC bring-up, hardware/software integration, and low-level debugging.
  • Understanding of computer architecture, memory systems, interrupts, DMA, and interconnects.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded Linux environments.
  • Working knowledge of IPMI, MCTP, and PLDM, including SDRs, sensors, and command handling.
  • Experience debugging real hardware in laboratory environments.
  • Minimum qualifications also allow a bachelor’s degree with 4+ years, a master’s degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years of related software engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years of programming experience with languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Preferred qualifications include power and thermal management, platform performance tuning, stress testing, AI accelerators, high-performance interconnects, multi-device systems, chassis management, Linux device models, manufacturing test flows, and hyperscale or cloud infrastructure experience.
