Base Salary
$243k - $295k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Data Science, Product, and Engineering to define Roblox’s data ontology.
- Lead and mentor a growing team of Data Engineers.
- Design, build, and maintain reliable batch and streaming data pipelines for core datasets.
- Develop scalable frameworks and tooling to automate analytics workflows and streamline interaction with data products.
- Establish and promote standard methodologies for data operations and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with Data Infrastructure and Storage teams to develop integrated solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience building scalable ETL pipelines with industry-standard orchestration tools and deep expertise in SQL, PySpark, or Scala.
- 3+ years leading data engineering development directly with business or data science partners.
- Experience building, scaling, and maintaining multi-terabyte datasets and solving large-scale analytics challenges.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience developing or enhancing ETL orchestration tools or frameworks.
- Experience working within a GitOps workflow involving branching, merging, pull requests, and CI/CD systems.
