Base Salary
$141k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and operate production-quality AI-powered applications and platform services.
- Integrate LLMs, AI agents, contextual knowledge systems, and RAG into reliable, scalable, and secure cloud architectures.
- Translate ambiguous customer challenges into maintainable software solutions with Product, Design, and Engineering partners.
- Build and refine developer agent harnesses, testing automation, coding automation, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
- Own engineering outcomes including architecture, code reviews, observability, latency, and continuous performance tuning.
- Establish reusable engineering patterns and abstractions that improve code quality and collaboration with AI agents.
- Monitor application performance and use operational data, evaluation frameworks, and customer feedback to improve systems.
Requirements
- Significant professional experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade distributed software systems in modern cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI technologies into production software, including LLM APIs, function or tool calling, RAG pipelines, or orchestration frameworks.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted developer tooling and agentic engineering workflows.
- Strong knowledge of system design, API construction, data modeling, automated testing, and debugging.
- Ability to work independently through ambiguity and make architectural tradeoffs involving reliability, cost, latency, and simplicity.
- Experience in AI platform engineering or developer productivity engineering, particularly agent harness design and coding automation.
- Experience contributing to developer platforms, shared engineering infrastructure, or PLG SaaS features.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent practical work experience.

- Base pay range is $140,960.00–$193,820.00 USD annually.
- May be eligible for equity compensation and/or bonus incentive compensation.
