Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical contact and trusted advisor for key clients.
- Develop technical relationships with multiple customer contacts to understand their infrastructure and challenges.
- Manage post-sales implementation of Fastly products and document customer configurations.
- Identify challenges and develop solutions to improve customer utilization of Fastly's products.
- Champion customer needs within Fastly and track the health of customer accounts.
- Mentor new Cloud Engineers and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding customer risks and opportunities.
- Assist in developing strategies for customer meetings and engagements.
Requirements
- At least 8+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Support, or similar roles.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
- Technical background with a focus on customer orientation.
- Empathy and understanding of customer needs.
- Superior organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with HTTP, TCP, TLS, DNS, and other protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages and web platforms, especially Varnish and VCL.
- Familiarity with underlying internet technologies and system management.
