Responsibilities
- Build stable, well-designed Kubernetes-hosted remote development environments for engineers and quantitative researchers.
- Improve platform capabilities, delivery pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
- Design and implement features that protect the developer environment and meet platform security requirements.
- Act as a product evangelist by liaising with users, gathering workflow feedback, providing support, and delivering feature requests.
- Contribute across software development, platform engineering, automation, observability, and remote development challenges.
Requirements
- Extensive experience working with Linux.
- Production-grade Kubernetes administration, including maintaining clusters and managing operators and CRDs.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes containers, resources, RBAC, and networking.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation using Bash or Python.
- Experience with source code management and binary or dependency management using Git, GitHub, and Artifactory.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or ArgoCD, including GitOps and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
- A track record of solving challenges in unfamiliar areas and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Preferred experience includes Go application development, Coder, GitHub Codespaces, Gitpod, Linux kernel drivers or components, Prometheus, Jaeger, Grafana, CRI-O, Cilium, Citrix, or VMware.
- Experience communicating strategy and socializing change to a broad audience is also desirable.
