Responsibilities
- Establish requirements, prioritize features, and complete moderately complex software design and development projects.
- Develop, integrate, validate, test, debug, and optimize software and RFID embedded-system firmware.
- Lead and participate in code reviews and address development issues proactively.
- Create and maintain design specifications, code comments, user manuals, and other project documentation.
- Review existing software and firmware designs and recommend solutions to complex technical problems.
- Develop custom tools or scripts for analysis, debugging, and problem solving when needed.
- Mentor junior exempt and non-exempt personnel and collaborate with internal, external, and customer stakeholders.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of strong development experience in Java or C/C++, with 2+ to 5 years of relevant software engineering experience stated.
- Strong Android/Linux skills and strong debugging skills.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, software development frameworks, software architecture, design patterns, system-level programming, and software testing strategies.
- Experience with performance optimization, debugging tools, version control systems such as Git and GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to adopt GenAI in the software development lifecycle and evaluate and integrate new technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, independent-work, mentoring, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
