Software Engineer - Gitlab CI CD

- Configure, customize, and build Linux distributions for embedded systems using the Yocto Project.
- Develop Yocto layers and recipes for project-related development.
- Integrate third-party libraries, tools, drivers, and other components into custom Linux distributions.
- Triage build failures, troubleshoot build issues, and provide solutions or guidance to users.
- Collaborate with CI/build implementation and DevOps teams on major failures and findings.
- Optimize build times and workflows using GitLab CI/CD and build automation tools.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience with GitLab CI/CD and related build and integration work.
- Strong experience with the Yocto Project, including writing recipes and layers and customizing images in a CI environment.
- Hands-on experience with Python and shell scripting.
- Proficiency in C programming and Linux.
- Experience with Git and build automation tools.
- Familiarity with menuconfig, make, and kernel patches.
- Experience with JFrog Artifactory and GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of automotive infotainment system architecture and components.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Android architecture and build systems or knowledge of Bazel is a bonus.
