Responsibilities

  • Configure, customize, and build Linux distributions for embedded systems using the Yocto Project.
  • Develop Yocto layers and recipes for project-related development.
  • Integrate third-party libraries, tools, drivers, and other components into custom Linux distributions.
  • Triage build failures, troubleshoot build issues, and provide solutions or guidance to users.
  • Collaborate with CI/build implementation and DevOps teams on major failures and findings.
  • Optimize build times and workflows using GitLab CI/CD and build automation tools.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience with GitLab CI/CD and related build and integration work.
  • Strong experience with the Yocto Project, including writing recipes and layers and customizing images in a CI environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and shell scripting.
  • Proficiency in C programming and Linux.
  • Experience with Git and build automation tools.
  • Familiarity with menuconfig, make, and kernel patches.
  • Experience with JFrog Artifactory and GitLab CI.
  • Knowledge of automotive infotainment system architecture and components.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Android architecture and build systems or knowledge of Bazel is a bonus.
