Responsibilities
- Write and ship production code in C, Go, and Python for core platform features, licensing tools, and automation frameworks.
- Design and develop orchestration and storage components, including work within Kubernetes CSI, CRI, and CNI layers.
- Manage critical customer escalations by developing workarounds, modifying code, conducting root-cause analysis, and delivering permanent fixes.
- Architect and manage software-defined storage across block, file, and object storage infrastructures.
- Deploy customer environments, manage upgrades, and develop and test robust upgrade procedures.
- Create deployment, upgrade, and backup workflows using Helm charts and Kubernetes operators.
- Maintain high availability, split-brain mitigation, consensus synchronization, and state management for distributed systems.
- Optimize workloads across containerized and virtualized environments and perform cluster capacity planning for telco SLAs.
- Reproduce customer issues in a test lab, debug defects, and develop code patches in collaboration with core engineering.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of professional experience in software engineering, system design, and complex customer escalations.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Advanced proficiency in C or C++, Go, and Python.
- Expert Linux system administration experience, including kernel troubleshooting, tracing, and performance tuning.
- Deep practical knowledge of software-defined storage, including block, file, and object storage, DAS, the Linux SCSI subsystem, and network storage fabrics such as NFS.
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, distributed systems, containerization, public cloud architectures, and the CSI, CRI, and CNI layers.
- Familiarity with relational, distributed, and NoSQL databases.
- Advanced English proficiency.
