Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade data, AI, and application systems.
- Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Design and build reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion systems, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Guide customers through architecture, implementation, evaluation, adoption, and transformational data and AI projects.
- Coordinate technical delivery with customers, project managers, architects, engineering, developer relations, and customer support.
- Embed with customer teams and engage stakeholders from technical individual contributors through executives.
- Contribute reusable accelerators, frameworks, best practices, and product feedback that scale across accounts.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
- Strong documentation, whiteboarding, enterprise client engagement, and stakeholder conflict-management skills.
- Databricks Certification.
- Fluent Japanese and professional working proficiency in English.
- Curiosity, adaptability, customer empathy, and willingness to explore technologies supporting Databricks-based solution deployment and integration.
