Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and execution across complex, multi-workstream customer AI programs.
- Design and build production-scale AI architectures, including multi-agent orchestration, enterprise retrieval systems, and decision intelligence platforms.
- Define operational standards, evaluation frameworks, production-readiness criteria, testing strategies, observability standards, and incident response playbooks.
- Create reusable engineering patterns, platforms, and accelerators that improve the effectiveness of the FDE practice.
- Mentor junior FDEs, coach engineers on system design and customer engagement, and contribute to interviewing and hiring.
- Identify opportunities to expand AI adoption and deliver measurable customer business outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Experience with AI tools including evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- Business-level Japanese and basic-level English.
- Preferred: experience architecting and delivering complex, multi-component systems in customer production environments.
- Preferred: experience leading customer-facing technical projects or managing external stakeholder relationships.
