Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing of web applications using manual techniques and automated tools.
- Evaluate user interfaces against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 success criteria.
- Perform manual testing using leading assistive technologies.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain accessibility automation frameworks.
- Integrate automated accessibility checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Document accessibility findings with clear defect descriptions in JIRA.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, developers, and QA teams on accessibility requirements.
- Validate accessibility fixes and ensure new features do not introduce regressions.
- Assist in performing audits for different applications within the CX suite.
- Author and maintain Accessibility Conformance Reports using the VPAT framework.
- Stay current with evolving accessibility standards and best practices.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Industrial/Electronic Engineering.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in IT as an Automation QA Engineer.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in accessibility testing.
- 2+ years of experience in UI Automation testing.
- Expert in designing test strategy, test cases, and test plans.
- Proficient in Playwright or equivalent UI testing tools.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
- Familiarity with defect management tools, preferably JIRA.
- Experience working in Agile methodology.
- Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 guidelines.
- Hands-on experience designing or executing automated accessibility test suites.
- Proven experience creating and updating ACR/VPAT documentation.
- Hands-on experience with assistive technologies such as screen readers and accessibility tools.
- Ability to analyze complex UI behaviors and identify accessibility gaps.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
