Base Salary
$240k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the implementation of features in large-scale distributed applications.
- Drive the strategy, architecture, and execution of end-to-end systems and technical initiatives.
- Design system architecture, write substantial code, and build customer-facing features iteratively.
- Coordinate and participate in scalability, performance, modularization, and organization-wide engineering efforts.
- Lead complex projects, identify risks and dependencies, and guide technical requirements and solutions through completion.
- Mentor engineers and support their growth across multiple teams without necessarily having formal direct reports.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, delivery teams, executives, client stakeholders, and other cross-functional partners.
- Enhance testing, monitoring, and continuous deployment infrastructure.
- Establish and communicate technical standards, best practices, and engineering consistency.
- Partner with stakeholders to scope, design, and lead implementation of AI-driven solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of professional hands-on experience.
- Demonstrable experience leading engineers without formal direct reporting relationships.
- Expertise in either Ruby on Rails or React, with a diverse skill set beyond those tools.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Experience proactively collaborating across different engineering teams.
- Experience working with complicated systems at scale.
- Experience building APIs and/or webhooks.
- Ability to drive strategy, architecture, execution, and technical standards across teams.
