Responsibilities
- Turn AI proofs of concept into production-ready software through system analysis, programming, research, and production delivery.
- Build reliable AI workflows with validation, error handling, retries, logging, fallback behavior, and monitoring for quality drift.
- Lead unit tests, integration tests, automated evaluations, and troubleshooting for AI-specific failure modes such as prompt regressions, provider outages, quality drift, and cost spikes.
- Provide technical support for applications throughout their lifecycle and contribute to product architecture, standards, and technical documentation.
- Review code from less experienced team members, mentor engineers, and lead critical tasks, deliverables, cross-functional work, and technical discussions.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, AI governance, internal users, and AI coaches to deliver secure, observable, auditable, policy-bounded, and explainable AI systems.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and recommend improvements to software development processes.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of technical experience in software development.
- Production ownership of AI systems such as AI agents, AI product features, or MCP servers.
- Experience with a major cloud environment: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with unit testing and end-to-end automated testing.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and shifting priorities, act independently, and overcome roadblocks.
- Ability to travel up to 5% for internal meetings, training, or professional conferences.
- Bachelor’s degree, fintech experience, GCP and Terraform experience, cloud security and DevOps experience, and experience with model fine-tuning, evaluation, validation, AI observability, evals, or model monitoring are preferred.
