ETL Developer, Senior Associate
State StreetResponsibilities
- Develop, implement, and support Talend ETL data pipelines, Snowflake data warehouse solutions, data models, and data-quality processes.
- Develop Java Spring Boot microservices and support service deployment in cloud environments.
- Perform SQL debugging, query performance tuning, data loads, defect resolution, and root cause analysis for batch and real-time data use cases.
- Investigate and resolve code and data issues while delivering solutions that meet service-level agreements.
- Collaborate with global APAC, EMEA, and North American teams on design standards, high-level solutions, cross-training, and data onboarding.
- Create SDLC and governance artifacts, conduct peer code reviews and unit test reviews, participate in deployments, and document work through Confluence and Jira/Kanban stories.
- Support client implementations and deliver operational improvements while working with business and IT stakeholders.
Requirements
- A B.S. degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another technical field is required; an M.S. degree is strongly preferred.
- At least 6–9 years of experience in Talend Data Integration is required.
- Expert knowledge of Talend Studio R2022 or later and Talend Management Console environments, workspaces, connections, plans, and tasks is required.
- Strong data warehousing, data modeling, data quality, SQL, and SQL debugging skills are required.
- Experience with Java IDEs such as IntelliJ or Eclipse, Talend reference projects, external Java libraries, service architecture, Azure, Snowflake SQL, and database query/performance tuning is required or expected.
- Experience with Azure tools including Azure Key Vault and Blob Storage is expected.
- Financial domain knowledge, State Street or Charles River Development experience, Qlik Replicate and Qlik Compose, and exposure to Bloomberg, Reuters, MSCI, or other rating agencies are advantageous.
