$128k - $178k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performance web applications using React and Next.js.
- Build and optimize scalable, secure Node.js server-side functionality for e-commerce transactions.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly shopping experiences.
- Work with product managers and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver aligned features.
- Optimize page load times, responsiveness, SEO, and overall application performance.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services for payment processing, inventory management, and commerce functionality.
- Debug and resolve full-stack issues while supporting high availability and reliability in production.
- Monitor emerging web technologies and trends to drive team innovation.
- Document technical designs, implementation details, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in web development or software engineering.
- Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or an equivalent framework.
- Proficiency with Node.js for scalable server-side applications.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, including familiarity with ES6+ features.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and API integration.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques such as lazy loading, caching, and image optimization.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL database systems.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
- Extensive React and Next.js experience is desirable.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms or custom e-commerce systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and server-side rendering is desirable.
- Familiarity with GraphQL and modern API design patterns is desirable.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is desirable.
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and responsive web design is desirable.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments is desirable.
- Strong communication, collaboration, proactive decision-making, and focus on delivering high-quality solutions are expected.
