Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Canton-based applications using DAML.
- Design DAML models and workflows and write smart contracts and end-to-end tests for DAML contracts.
- Build scalable web-based solutions and implement backend, frontend, ledger-facing, external-signature, and partner integrations.
- Connect applications to environments and manage configuration, operational troubleshooting, monitoring, and support across development, testing, and production.
- Provide technical direction for software development, system integration, architecture, and implementation across multiple client engagements.
- Ensure application designs address availability, scalability, security, performance, resiliency, cloud readiness, and monitoring requirements.
- Work with Product Management on iterative development cycles and suggest reusable technical solutions for client requirements.
- Lead and coordinate team members to complete assigned tasks on time and contribute to EY's internal knowledge base.
- Keep current with emerging open-source capabilities and identify opportunities for their application.
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years of web application development experience, including at least 2 years of blockchain development experience.
- Strong blockchain experience with Ethereum or Canton, with Canton preferred.
- Strong experience writing smart contracts using DAML or Solidity, with DAML preferred.
- Experience with object-oriented or declarative programming languages, including Scala, Clojure, and Elm.
- Working knowledge of Canton concepts such as participants, domains, and onboarding or party setup.
- Experience troubleshooting DAML applications and developing end-to-end integration with external signatures.
- Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure and message queuing systems.
- Experience developing web applications with Node.js, HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, AngularJS, or React.
- Familiarity with MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Experience with Git and Azure DevOps or comparable modern software configuration management tools in automated build environments.
- Knowledge of Azure or AWS and experience architecting applications in the cloud.
- Experience developing integrations and REST services, testing, software operations, and full software development life-cycle practices.
- Ability to lead teams while also working independently, collaborate across global teams, communicate effectively with clients, and learn new technologies.
