Responsibilities
- Implement software components from design documentation and functional specifications.
- Design, develop, debug, document, unit-test, and integrate scalable software solutions.
- Architect solutions using microservices, containers, databases, messaging queues, and web services.
- Deploy applications and build CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide development estimates and guide features, functional objectives, or technologies for interested stakeholders.
- Collaborate with teams and customers while driving innovation and taking ownership of assigned work.
Requirements
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects is required, though the posting does not specify a numeric minimum.
- Strong coding and development experience with Java, Python, .NET, or comparable technologies.
- Experience developing scalable and robust software and applying software development methodologies.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of architecture design, microservices, containers such as Docker and Kubernetes, and messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Cloud certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred; Kyndryl may support obtaining certifications.
- Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices is preferred.
