Responsibilities
- Support server, application, and database migrations from on-premises or private cloud environments to AWS.
- Participate in migration assessment, discovery, planning, cutover, and post-migration optimization.
- Execute re-hosting and re-platforming using AWS Application Migration Service, Database Migration Service, Migration Hub, and App2Container.
- Deploy, configure, and validate AWS services and infrastructure components.
- Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation and maintain reusable automation modules and scripts.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and enforce infrastructure quality and security checks using tflint, Checkov, and tfsec.
- Assist with integration, testing, troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization of AWS workloads.
- Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and migration playbooks and participate in client workshops.
- Collaborate with global delivery teams and contribute to internal learning, certifications, and capability-building initiatives.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in technology consulting leadership roles.
- At least four years of AWS technology planning and implementation experience, including leading large-scale AWS projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Working experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and ECS/EKS.
- Familiarity with at least one AWS migration tool and understanding of re-hosting, re-platforming, and basic refactoring approaches.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, and Jenkins.
- Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS serverless services is preferred.
- Understanding of AWS monitoring, security, governance, IAM least-privilege practices, and tools such as CloudWatch, Config, and GuardDuty.
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification experience is relevant.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, organization, professionalism, and attention-to-detail skills.
