Base Salary
$141k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications for public safety workflows and data requirements.
- Build and optimize Python scripts for automation, data processing, and system integration.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and collaborate with stakeholders on requirements.
- Design and manage database objects and write SQL and PL/SQL code while ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Implement AI and Generative AI features to accelerate development and enhance application functionality.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms and support secure system integrations.
- Assist with RESTful API development and integration.
- Troubleshoot application issues, optimize performance, and support uptime and reliability in emergency-response contexts.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a closely related field, or qualifying equivalent course credits or experience.
- At least one year of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing, and/or maintaining enterprise network components.
- One year of experience in Oracle database and application development and maintenance.
- One year of experience developing web applications with scripting languages.
- Additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis, up to two years; completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may also substitute.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred 3–5 years of Oracle APEX development experience and 2–4 years of Python programming experience.
- Preferred experience supporting public safety organizations and knowledge of relational databases, especially Oracle.
- Preferred familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, Flask or Django, RESTful API development, cloud platforms, data visualization or reporting tools, and CJIS, HIPAA, or related compliance frameworks.
