Base Salary
$187k - $201k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build tools to automate and streamline fleet operations.
- Respond to large-scale fleet events and diagnose and fix critical software and system failures.
- Provide daytime first-line support for operational tickets across software development teams.
- Propose, drive, and implement automation, efficiency, and scalability solutions.
- Support corporate infrastructure systems and perform SQL queries against SQL Server databases.
- Provide technical consultation to Amazon internal customers.
- Mentor other engineers and assist with training new engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, plus one year of relevant experience; three years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree and one year of experience.
- One year of experience supporting large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
- Experience designing and implementing provisioning platforms using shell scripting.
- Experience with SQL, PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Python, PHP, or Ruby.
- Experience troubleshooting systemic problems in Windows, Linux, or Unix environments.
