Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement high-performance cloud-native data platform and analytics SaaS services processing billions of real-time data points.
- Lead development of large-scale distributed systems using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Hive, Java, and Scala.
- Design and build real-time stream-processing systems and microservices with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and data security.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to multiple engineering teams.
- Own and resolve complex code defects and promote software development and system-design best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on AI, cloud, and data platform adoption.
- Lead hands-on implementation of core components of the next-generation data platform.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience focused on data platforms or data engineering.
- Deep expertise in Java and proficiency designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience designing and developing machine learning platforms.
- Strong understanding of consistency, availability, durability, reliability, fault tolerance, and consensus algorithms.
- Advanced knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proven ability to design and develop microservices and API-driven systems.
- Excellent technical communication and mentoring skills.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience building data platforms with Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink, and Hive on public cloud is preferred.
- Familiarity with ELK, Debezium, SaaS/PaaS development on AWS, GCP, or Azure, and TeamCity-based CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Experience developing in multiple programming languages and frameworks is preferred.
