Base Salary
$131k - $192k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build a centralized machine learning platform for seamless model development, training, and deployment.
- Develop high-performance, flexible pipelines that support evolving technologies, techniques, and modeling approaches.
- Design infrastructure to store trillions of feature values and power hundreds of billions of predictions per day.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Product Engineers to evolve the ML platform for their use cases.
- Improve the reliability, scalability, and observability of ML training and inference infrastructure.
- Help define the direction of DoorDash’s centralized machine learning platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of industry software engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience building and operating machine learning systems in production, including data analytics at scale.
- Experience developing and deploying machine learning models, including proof-of-concept models.
- Experience building meaningful infrastructure components in a cloud computing environment.
- Preferred experience with real-time computing, large-scale distributed systems, data processing pipelines, and ML training and serving infrastructure.
- Preferred familiarity with Pandas, Python machine learning libraries, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark, MLLib, Databricks, MLflow, Apache Airflow, Dagster, large language models, GPT, LLaMA, BERT, Transformer architectures, and AWS.
