Responsibilities
- Write and optimize modern C++ for deterministic, low-latency on-orbit execution.
- Build and own software connecting sensors, actuators, control algorithms, telemetry pipelines, and autonomy functions.
- Lead development quality from requirements and design through HIL/MIL testing, launch, and on-orbit support.
- Collaborate with GNC, electronics, ground segment, and mission operations teams to debug and improve system performance.
- Evolve system architecture through refactoring, optimization, and adoption of valuable technologies.
- Investigate flight anomalies using telemetry analysis, ground reproduction, and deployed fixes.
Requirements
- Strong experience writing production-quality modern C++.
- Proven experience delivering real-time control software for autonomous or safety-critical systems such as satellites, drones, robotics, or automotive systems.
- Understanding of hard real-time constraints, latency budgeting, and deterministic behavior.
- Experience interfacing with sensors and actuators in embedded Linux environments.
- Experience with rigorous testing, CI/CD, and clear technical documentation.
- Ability to own software across its lifecycle from concept through operational maintenance.
- Effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop or model-in-the-loop testing is desirable.
- Experience supporting operational or mission-critical software is desirable.
- Familiarity with satellite GNC or space systems is desirable.
