Responsibilities
- Lead applications systems analysis and programming activities for new and revised application systems.
- Partner with management teams to integrate functions, identify system enhancements, and deploy new products and process improvements.
- Resolve high-impact problems through detailed evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
- Provide expertise in application programming and ensure designs align with the overall architecture blueprint.
- Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
- Design, develop, and secure APIs and support containerized application architecture and deployment.
- Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work across projects and initiatives.
- Assess and manage technology, business, regulatory, and control risks while escalating issues transparently.
Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Experience managing and successfully implementing projects.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one area of applications development.
- Proven API design, development, and security implementation experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Couchbase, Redis, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of containerized application architecture and deployment.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, prioritization, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Financial-services domain experience is preferred.
