Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Linux kernel drivers, userspace libraries, and software frameworks for networking, RDMA, storage, and AI infrastructure platforms.
  • Architect, implement, and optimize Ethernet, RDMA/RoCE, NVMe, NVMe-oF, virtualization, transport acceleration, and scalable storage technologies.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, architecture, and performance teams to deliver next-generation platform capabilities.
  • Benchmark and optimize networking and storage stacks for AI training and inference workloads.
  • Debug system-level issues across operating systems, drivers, firmware, hardware, networking fabrics, storage systems, and distributed environments.
  • Contribute to Linux open-source projects and drive upstream adoption of AMD technologies.
  • Use AI-assisted development, code analysis, and debugging tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture reviews, technology strategy, and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong software development experience in C and C++ with a foundation in systems programming.
  • Experience developing Linux kernel drivers, networking software, RDMA software, storage software, operating system components, or other low-level systems software.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture, memory management, operating systems, concurrency, multithreaded programming, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, Ethernet, RDMA/RoCE, InfiniBand, NVMe, NVMe-oF, storage fabrics, virtualization, DPDK, SPDK, or equivalent high-performance frameworks.
  • Experience with high-performance communication stacks and distributed AI or HPC workloads, including RoCE, libfabric, UCX, OpenMPI, NCCL/RCCL, OneCCL, and distributed training frameworks.
  • Experience analyzing and optimizing distributed AI workloads across large-scale GPU, accelerator, and networking infrastructures.
  • Experience with Linux development tools, debugging, performance profiling, Git, automated testing frameworks, and software validation.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development, code generation, testing, debugging, and review workflows.
  • Linux open-source contribution and upstream community collaboration experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and influence software architecture decisions.
