Responsibilities
- Build and own client integrations in their codebases against OpenLoop’s Partner API through go-live and post-launch support.
- Identify platform gaps, document bounded workarounds, and convert recurring client needs into reusable APIs, recipes, checks, SDKs, and tooling.
- Design and ship AI SDKs, reference implementations, CLI tools, machine-readable documentation, and agentic workflows with evaluations, monitoring, and human approval.
- Own deployment agents and verification systems, including tenant readiness gates, conformance checks, seeding checkers, documentation freshness, gap filing, and communication drafts.
- Architect deployment scope, communicate technical limitations, establish defensible phased plans, and prevent changes that could break live clients.
- Mentor FDEs and deployment strategists and help define the operating playbook for the growing team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience delivering directly for external customers or partners in their environments.
- Proven end-to-end ownership of complex customer-facing technical deliveries, including post-launch issue resolution.
- Strong integration engineering experience with APIs, authentication, webhooks, polling, idempotency, rate limits, pagination, schema drift, reconciliation, data, and cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to build and evaluate AI-agent systems, determine when agent output is trustworthy, and assess LLM-based systems before customer launch.
- Experience handling sensitive data with a security-first and compliance-aware approach.
- Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences and sound judgment about scope, sequencing, and descoping.
- Evidence of leverage through SDKs, tooling, checks, reference implementations, or practices that improve other teams’ delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: healthcare or regulated-domain experience; production LLM or agentic systems; developer-platform experience; familiarity with EHR, scheduling, pharmacy, payments, or FHIR; and experience partnering with sales or solutions teams in pre-sales technical conversations.
